Q: What is the shower niche made of?
A: We fabricate our niches and other coordinating accessories out of Solid Surfacing sheets that are a homogenous thermoset polymer alloy, comprised of an acrylic/polyester copolymer component and filled with alumina trihydrate (ATH)
It is manufactured for interior applications where a decorative, durable, wear and stain resistant surface is required
• Horizontal applications include vanity tops, countertops, residential and commercial furniture, window sills, and thresholds
• Vertical applications include wall panels, wainscoting, backsplashes, baseboards, and bath and shower enclosures & shower niches.
Q: How do I clean my RSI product?
A: If mild soap and water doesn't seem to work, use any liquid bath cleaner such as Top Job or Lysol Bathroom Cleaner. Denatured alcohol is useful for stubborn stains such as permanent marker. To bring back the shine of the product, Gel Gloss is a safe and effective product. Scratches can easily be wet sanded out of sight using fine automotive sandpaper, polishing with an automotive rubbing compound to remove any swirls.
Q: I don't see the right size product in your store, is this the full catalog?
A: No, we offer a vast array of custom options, and are able to build virtually any product in all of our categories to your specific needs. If you can draw it, we can make it! Fill out the custom request form for the corresponding category and one of our representatives will gladly contact you and go over the details of your ideal product.
Q: How does the "Custom Niche Calculator" work?
A: The calculator is used to allow you to purchase a custom niche. The first step is to fill out the Request Form. After the form is properly submitted, a Sales Representative will contact you to identify your needs and quote you a price. Once your production order and pricing is confirmed, the Sales Representative will give you the proper value to select from the calculator. Follow the prompts through checkout.
Q: How do you adhere solid surface products to another substrate?
A: 100% Silicone works the best for vertical applications. In some cases, especially considering shower sills and curbs, it is best to set the product in a horizontal application with modified thinset mortar. Thinset will not allow any movement when weight/pressure might be applied to the surface.
Q: Are mirrors included with the frame?
A: We supply frames only; shipped ready-to-assemble. No mirror or corresponding glass is supplied due to shipping constraints.
